[COVERAGE] Data should include national and international goods transport. [COVERAGE] Between 2006 and 2009, there was a decrease in rail freight transport due to the recession. Between 2014 and 2016, there was a decrease in rail freight transport due to the drop in coal shipments. Inland waterways freight includes domestic lakewise shipments and 60 percent of foreign lakewise shipments (to limit double counting with the Canadian data). Since 2012, pipeline transport of oil is assumed to be 60 percent of all pipeline shipments.
