Infrastructure includes land, permanent way constructions, buildings, bridges and tunnels, as well as immovable fixtures, fitting and installations connected with them (signalisation, telecommunications, catenaries, electricity sub-stations, toll collection installations, navigation locks, mooring equipment, etc.) as opposed to rolling stock or road vehicles or inland waterways vessels. [COVERAGE] Since 2000 data do not include investment in Kosovo and Metohia. Data refer to the value of construction works done during the reference year. The value of construction works is the value of rough construction work, finishing and installation work, the value of material and equipment produced and labour costs. Data do not include the value of land, fees for architects and consultants and VAT. Road infrastructure expenses include investment in urban roads. Since 2015, the increase in road infrastructure expenses is due to the intensive road construction (Koridor 10 and Koridor 11). TOTAL INLAND INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT Since 2015, the increase in rail infrastructure expenses is due to the reconstruction of railway lines in accordance with the National Plan for construction of road and rail infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia.
