Tonne-kilometre: unit of measurement of goods transport which represents the transport of one tonne of goods over a distance of one kilometre. [STAT_CONC_DEF] Since 2004, rail freight transport is collected according to the thresholds introduced by the EU Regulation 91/2003. Since 2016, rail freight transport is collected according to the thresholds introduced by the EU Regulation 2032/2016. [COVERAGE] Data should include national and international goods transport. [COVERAGE] In 2022, data do not include inland waterways freight transport. Until 1994, data do not include international road freight transport.

Pipeline transport is any movement of crude or refined liquid petroleum products or gases in a given pipeline network.
