The industrial entrepreneurs’ confidence indicator in Brazil inched up by 0.3 points m/m in July, the third increase in a row, reaching 62 points. The index has a neutral value of 50, and each value above it indicates confidence.

According to the National Confederation of the Industry (CNI), which conducts the survey, the sub-index of current conditions rose by 0.9 points m/m to 55.7 points, meaning that entrepreneurs have a more positive sentiment towards the current state of the economy than in June. In addition, the sub-index of expectations grew slightly by 0.1 points m/m to 65.2 points, as companies remain optimistic about the economic performance in the next six months.
