It refers to category M1 of the UN Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles. Passenger cars, vans designed and used primarily for transport of passengers, taxis, hire cars, ambulances and motor homes are not included. Light goods road vehicles, motor-coaches and buses and mini-buses/mini-coaches are not included. Microcars (needing no permit to be driven), taxis and passenger hire cars, provided that they have fewer than ten seats, are included.; PASSENGER CARS Data include military vehicles, but do not include battle vehicles.
