In Q2 2021, Eurozone GDP grew on a real-term basis for the first time in three quarters, by 2% q/q, according to the preliminary (‘flash’) estimates released by Eurostat, which are based on seasonally and calendar-day adjusted data.

The Eurozone economy also expanded by a whopping 13.7% y/y, bolstered by the low base due to the lockdowns imposed during Q2 2020 which impeded economic activity.
