The US Federal Reserve left the benchmark interest rate unchanged at a range between 1.50%-1.75% on its meeting on December 11, 2019. The decision was in line with expectations.

According to the statement of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the current stance of monetary policy remains appropriate and well placed to support the economic growth against the backdrop of a strong labour market and inflation rising back to FED’s 2% annual goal.
