Brazil’s industrial entrepreneurs’ confidence indicator fell by 5.2 points m/m to 58 in September, after rising for four months in a row, as the sentiment among companies has deteriorated due to the severe energy crisis, the rising inflation, and political uncertainties.

Brazil’s services measured by a volume index recorded the fifth annual increase in a row in July

The subindex of current conditions of the Brazilian economy fell into negative territory in the month, as it stood at 47.3, lower than the threshold of 50, compared to 56.2 in August. Otherwise, industrial companies remain optimistic about the economic performance in the next months, as the subindex of expectations registered 60.9 in September. In August, it recorded a 19-month high of 66.
