COVID-19: Capacity utilisation in Indonesia returns to pre-pandemic level
Capacity utilisation in manufacturing rose to 72.3% in Q2 2021
According to data from Bank of Indonesia, capacity utilisation in manufacturing rose to 72.3% in Q2 2021, the highest level since Q4 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic started to spread in the country.
Capacity utilisation fell from 71.8% in Q1 2020 to 61.8% in Q2 2020, the lowest on record as a result of the lockdowns closing down factories and causing a global supply crunch in the manufacturing sector.
