Brazil’s Extended National Consumer Price Index 15 (IPCA-15) rose by 6.17% y/y in April 2021, the tenth annual increase in a row, reflecting higher fuel prices. Notably, prices of gasoline grew by 29% y/y in April, following a 15.8% y/y increase in March.

Prices of food and beverages, however, slowed down in the fourth month of 2021, growing by 12.2% y/y, after rising by 14.5% y/y in March.
