The flow of heavy vehicles on Brazilian toll roads increased by 5% y/y in September, signalling a full recovery on the road freight transport sector after the quarantine measures adopted between March and June.

Brazil sees a surge in the trade of food and consumption goods, supported by the government’s income transfer programs, and a higher demand for food commodities from Asian countries. On the other hand, the traffic of light vehicles remained subdued in September, dropping by 8% y/y, as Brazilians remain cautious when it comes to travelling.
