The increased global supply, accompanied by sluggish economic growth in developed countries, and therefore decelerated oil demand, resulted in free falling oil prices. According to current estimates, more than 80% of the world's proven oil reserves are located in OPEC Member Countries. The charts below contain OPEC basket prices, as well as some of the benchmark crude oil prices provided by the International Monetary Fund's Commodity Stastistics and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. This template also contains OPEC's total production and the monthly crude oil production of each of the 12 OPEC Member Countries. All oil prices are presented in USD per barrel and all production series are presented in thousand barrels per day.
