The industrial entrepreneurs’ confidence index in Brazil reached 57 in August 2020, after staying four months below the neutral level of 50. According to the National Confederation of Industry, which carries out the survey, the companies are more optimistic about the sector’s performance in the next months, as expectations index reached 62.1, well above the 50-mark.

However, the current conditions sub-index improved to 46.9 from 34.5, which means the industries continue pessimistic about the present, but not as pessimistic as in July.
