The unemployment rate in the US stays stable in the end of 2020, at 6.7% in December, the same figure as in November. The US labour market suffered earlier in 2020 because of the wide range of restrictions imposed to cope with the new coronavirus.

Back in April, the unemployment rate jumped to 14.8%, with the jobless claims filed skyrocketing even earlier. Nonetheless, the persistent declines in the share of unemployed Americans suggests that the labour market keeps recovering.
