Brazil's labour market reported a net gain of 328,507 formal jobs in February, compared to a net gain of 155,178 in the previous month. According to the Ministry of Economy, which conducts the survey, all of the five groups of economic activities reported a net gain of jobs in the second month of 2022. The services sector had a net gain of 215,421 formal jobs in February, followed by the general industry (+43,000), the construction sector (+39,453), the trade sector (+13,219) and the agriculture (+17,415).

Brazil's net formal jobs balance is updated monthly, available from January 2020 to February 2022. The data reached an all-time high of 397,463 in February 2021 and a record low of -981,834 in April 2020.
